Dog Days of Summer

It’s been a few busy months but we’ve managed to make it this far.

The fishing season was good! We’ve caught some respectable rainbow trout and some phenomenal pike on the fly rods. We’ve been pretty fortunate that the summer heat hasn’t been brutally hot and we’ve been experiencing some unseasonably welcomed rain this consistent and this late. We’ve booked a few float trips that were successful trips and we hope in the future we can build on that. One trip in particular, the guides came across a grizzly sow and her two cubs in a canyon which resulted in an abandoned raft, rods, and snacks! Our backcountry floats are wild and can have potential hazards and that’s what we market it as just that; remote, and never without adventure.

Finishing up on our fishing season in a few weeks, the archery season is knocking at the door and it’s approaching fast! We have 1 archery mule deer, 2 archery elk, 1 archery moose booked for September.

October and November are looking to be very promising and we’re hoping to have some giants on the ground and on the pack saddles. 6 mule deer hunts and 3 antelope are on our plates for this fall.

Sorry it’s been a minute since the last blog, but we’re here still and things should be crazy for the foreseeable fall season!

If you have any questions about fishing or hunting trips please feel free to reach out and we’d be more than happy to help.

Side note: we raise and sell pastured pork. If something your interested in we can definitely get you a premium product.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
